Aqualeak is pleased to announce the launch of a new offer that will see the company provide a range of market leading refrigerant gas leak detectors and alarm panels. This can help customers comply with a number of regulated safety standards, including ASHRAE 15, EN 378 and CSA-B52.

Working in partnership with MSA, one of the world’s leading safety solutions providers, we can supply, install, commission, and maintain a number of MSA’s products. These include those from the MGS-400 range, such as standalone refrigerant gas detectors (MGS-450), through to centralized panels that can monitor multiple detectors simultaneously (MGS-402/408). These are suitable for use in areas where refrigerant, toxic and/or combustible gas can escape, such as machinery and plant rooms, industrial process areas and cold stores, among others.

We will also supply the MVR-300, commonly used in areas of high occupancy where air conditioning and cooling/heating systems are present, such as hotels, apartment blocks, offices and hospitals.

The installation of refrigerant gas leak detection can also help buildings gain credits under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), demonstrating the environmental and sustainability credentials of a property.

Hannah Little, Managing Director of Aqualeak, said

“We are really pleased to be extending our leak detection offer to include refrigerant gas. It is really complementary to the work we already do with water leak detection and the two are often part of the same M&E package when we are tendering projects. We are now well placed to deliver a greater number of our customers’ leak detection requirements, which ultimately offers them greater consistency and efficiency.

“Refrigerant gas leak detection is a real focus for companies – there are the clear environmental and critical safety considerations, but companies are increasingly conscious from a financial perspective too, with the cost of refrigerant gas continuing to rise. The early detection and mitigation of an escape of refrigerant gas is a real priority.

“It is also great to be working with a company of MSA’s stature as we launch our new offer. They have a reputation for manufacturing high quality, market-leading products, so to be able to offer these to our customers is a real positive for us.”
